Paytm’s Fastag faces discontinuation as it’s delisted from authorized banks. Aligarh, with 6 in 10 vehicles using it, feels the impact. Consumers are left grappling with this sudden change. Despite the inconvenience, there’s a grace period until February 29th to deactivate Paytm Fastag.
The National Highway Authority of India’s decision to exclude Paytm’s Fastag from its list of authorized banks has stirred dismay among many city consumers. However, there’s a solution available for them to address this issue. NHAI emphasized that consumers can opt for Fastags from any of the other 32 banks, excluding Paytm Payment Bank. This transition implies that Aligarh’s 6 out of 10 vehicles, previously using Paytm Fastag, now face a significant inconvenience. Despite this setback, consumers have until February 29th to deactivate their Paytm Fastag. It’s imperative to note that a new Fastag from an authorized bank will be necessary as Paytm’s Fastag will cease to function. This development underscores the importance of timely action for affected consumers to avoid disruptions in their commute and adhere to the new regulations set forth by NHAI.
